From kitchen leftovers to garden residue in large housing societies, Kirloskar iLAND is the ideal solution for reducing the volume of organic waste and recycling it. Available from 25 kgs per day processing capacity to 2.5 tonnes per day, select the Kirloskar iLAND suitable for the size of the residential complex.
Industries which provide canteen facilities produce a significant amount of organic waste. If left untreated, this waste can cause grave environmental problems. Treating organic waste with the Kirloskar iLAND can help attain carbon neutrality, reduce waste disposal costs and meet the Environmental Clearance mandate when required, all while saving the planet.
Hospitals, whilst keeping the community healthy, play host to patients, visitors and staff, generate a lot of food waste. The Kirloskar iLAND will treat the organic waste, enabling hospitals to reduce infections, their carbon footprint and nurture flora and fauna around the premises.
Large corporate offices and technology parks feed thousands of people every day. By using Kirloskar iLAND for waste management, the corporates can reduce their carbon footprint, meet their sustainability targets and reuse the nutrient-rich soil for their landscaping needs.
Food courts and cafeterias are an essential part of retail and commercial spaces such as malls, multiplex theatres and hotels. With a multitude of people visiting everyday, they generate a considerable amount of food waste. Installing the Kirloskar iLAND to manage food waste, will help reduce transportation costs, making them a responsible member of the community.
Considered to be the biggest energy consumer and food waste producer, the hotel industry needs to be environmentally conscious by implementing appropriate waste management treatments. The Kirloskar iLAND with its smart technology helps manage organic waste daily, with a positive impact on the environment.
Segregate the waste and add the organic food into the organic waste composter.
When the sensor detects moisture in the waste, the iLAND kicks into Power Mode. The PLC based controller turns on the geared motor for mixing, heaters for heating and blower for ventilation, creating the perfect conditions for composting.
The mixing blades creates a homogeneous mixture and the blower maintains the fresh flow of air, all necessary for aerobic digestion. The heaters maintain the temperature between 50°C to 60°C, essential for the thermophilic bacteria to thrive, causing slow evaporation and a volume reduction of up to 70%.
The organic waste is decomposed into fine compost by the iLAND’s proprietary consortium of bacteria with a total volume reduction of almost 90%.
Once the recycling of organic waste into compost is completed, the iLAND goes into power saving mode. Collect and store the compost to use for gardening, plantations and landscaping.
